I'm met with two choices:  Ubuntu (on a system from Dell Home Systems --
which is what I think Karl is referring to); or an n-series machine from
Dell Small Business that comes ready for you to install an OS from
somewhere else.  The n-series machines come with FreeDOS, so the machine
can be booted for testing, with the explicit understanding that Dell
will not provide software support.

When I talk to my Dell rep at work, there's no mention of RHEL for a
desk PC on a consumer machine, although RHEL is definitely well
supported on servers.  My experience has been that Dell is pretty
undecided about what they will do with Linux, unfortunately.  Whether
you can actually buy something with RHEL on it seems to change with the
seasons -- again, not counting servers.

Do you know of a specific source at Dell where I could send money and
get a laptop with RHEL4 on it?
