Dear all,
I know that is is one of FC6 common bugs which I got around using direct links which I will do the same again, but I thought this problem was taken care off already, I know that there might be nothing more to do. But here we go
[olivares at localhost ~]$ rpm -qa kernel*
kernel-headers-2.6.21-1.3194.fc7
kernel-2.6.21-1.3194.fc7
kernel-devel-2.6.21-1.3226.fc7
kernel-devel-2.6.21-1.3194.fc7
kernel-2.6.21-1.3226.fc7
[olivares at localhost ~]$ uname -iprm
2.6.21-1.3226.fc7 i686 i686 i386
[olivares at localhost ~]$
I have been running kernel-2.6.21-1.3226 instead of 3228 because I had tried to install it directly using yum but something bad happened several times, one time the computer froze and did not download anything another time a call was coming in and took me out of the internet. I will try this time to update again and this is what happens

Now why do I need that kernel 2.6.21-1.3194 i586, if I have the other one already?
I know this is a bug but I do not know which BZ# it is. I get around this problems by using direct names, as I will do this again, I have to using dialup.
This is the command yum will give me the correct kernel, kernel-devel and kernel-headers package
[root at localhost ~]# yum install kernel-2.6.22.1-27.fc7 kernel-devel-2.6.22.1-27.fc7 kernel-headers-2.6.22.1-27.fc7 -y

Antonio
