Kernel Panic / Crash, Kdump no help

It crashes in many cases, loaded, unloaded, in X, in run level 3, in run
level 1.

No input works, I can not switch to a text console. This motherboard
does not have a serial port so I can't even redirect over that.

The only screensaver is screen blanking.

It's twin (Same motherboard and CPU but different RAM) is solid under XP
but I haven't tried another OS on this machine.

I now suspect the memory, so I'm testing each stick one at a time.

Any clue why kexec and kdump don't work?
