Long boot delay probing hardware

I was hoping to find the SCSI equivalent of the noprobe option for
IDE devices, but I didn't find one. (I may have missed it.) One
thing you can try is:

scsi_mod.scan=  [SCSI] sync (default) scans SCSI busses as they are
                discovered.

		async scans them in kernel threads, allowing boot
		to proceed.

		none ignores them, expecting user space to do the
		scan.

But I have not tried it, so let me know if it helps.
