Whois and godaddy domains

I get this:

[jmk at jmksystem ~]$ whois ccim.com
[Querying whois.verisign-grs.com]
[Redirected to whois.godaddy.com]
[Querying whois.godaddy.com]
etc.

It looks like it redirects to godaddy.
