help with Fedora core 7 dial-up connection

Before I setup a Smoothwall firewall on an old machine, which now connects to 
the Internet with a serial modem, I always used to use KDE's Kppp for setting 
up a dialup connection.

I don't know if you're using KDE, so perhaps the suggestion is no help. 
Basically though, all should need to set up the connection is the phone 
number your ISP gave you to connect to them. The username and password you 
use to connect, and the DNS IP address.

Kppp is pretty straightforward to configure, and I don't know if there is 
something similar in Gnome you could use.

If you do have Kppp, don't use the wizard to configure it, use the dialog 
setup. I found the wizard hopeless. If you need any help with the config, 
post back.
