who report no user...

Bonjour,

I have already post something about this but got no answer...

My system, fc6, report no user when I use the command who, whatever the
number of users logged in; gkrellm report also 0 user....

file /var/run/utmp exists and has -rw-rw-r-- permissions, I can see the
name of the users logged in this file (among a lot of strange signs from
binary).

This problem occurs on my desktop (x86_64) and on my laptop (i386)....
did I miss something at install time?

Thanks.

PS. I like to considered, even by my computer, when I am logged in, I am
not a zero!
