SATA Drive - One more

All,

I have previously posted about the slowness in SATA drive (sata_nv, FC6)
and could not get it resolved. However, i have got a new laptop (Toshiba
Tecra M5, intel core2 duo, F7 - 64 bit). I still see slower performance
in new server. The similarity in both the laptops is that they both run
64 bit OS.

Also, i am wondering if i really gain any performance by running 64 bit
versus 32 bit F7 with 4G RAM?

Thanks in advance

Srikanth
