Firefox + Javascript problem

I'm running Fedora-7 (on a ThinkPad T23)
with firefox-2.0.0.4-2.fc7.i386 and js-1.60-2.fc7.i386,
and Firefox keeps bombing out (at sites using Javascript).

If I remove Javascript from my Firefox Preferences
it works fine.

I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem?
