Installing F7 by CD and not by DVD

No those are not unnecessarily strong words. Those were the system
requirements in 1999-2000 for DVD movie playback. I have a donated
Gateway PC with a 600 MHz Pentium that plays Shrek, the movie, just
fine to prove it. Developers before that time were using DVDs to
distribute applications and data. It appears that vendors are just
taking advantage of the uninformed.
