virtulisation and clustering..

Hi

I would like to cluster the hardware, in such a way that the virtual
machines are not impacted if one of the hardware machine is off line
... accepting that all the virtual machines will have lower
performance.. and then being able to added new nodes to the cluster
with out having to configure / move the virtual machine/s.
Can this be achieved using Zen ? / VMware ... anyone got some
suggetions on how to achieve this ?
