ATI vs FC7

OK, so does the latest ati driver work with current Fc7?  I think I
heard/read that it now installs and gets past the xorg-server versioning
problem it had before, but it crashes or has an error that are awaiting
ati to fix/put out another version (end of the month)?

Just trying to get a status before I finally try to install/configure it
again.
