FC6 upgrade to FC7 - blank desktop

I got hit on this also, and don't have an answere/hint/idea/whathaveyou 
for you. Since I had a full backup, and had already started thinking in 
terms of wild behavior, I blew the whole damn directory away, and 
started fresh. Overkill.
