Yes, I have. I've installed ATI drivers on FC6 and a Acer Travelmate 8000 
with a Mobility Radeon 9700. It was remarkably straigt forward. Download 
the driver, read the instruction, build packages and install them.

You might have some issues configuring your xorg.conf, but generally it 
should work fine.
