OT: Apt-get vs YUM?

Would you rather it just gave you an error instead? That's what yum does. 
Apt/Synaptic instead gives you a solution, which you can then accept or reject 
(neither the command-line apt nor Synaptic remove packages without asking, 
unless you use the -y switch).
