OT: Cutting in two halves each page of a pdf document

That's why I suggested pdftk and Imagemagick.  They are both command line tools
so you can script it.

If you want a manual method, on the other hand, you can do it with Gimp and
cut-and-paste.

Actually, you could probably script Gimp to do it automatically as well if you
really wanted to.
