ATI Linux driver version 8.38.6 still broken

Yes it is *very* disappointing. I would like my 3D accelerated 1680x1150
back too. They really don't seem to care about the X.org 1.3 community.
Kudos to Intel for facilitating an open source driver. Hopefully the
open source Intel driver will get good 3D acceleration so my choice is
easy.
