It makes may volume up/down and mute buttons to work, and I get on 
screen display
of the set sound level (in the form of a green bar across the bottom of 
the screen)
It also makes it possible to assign a program to the "Access IBM" button.
It handles screen brightness "Fn" buttons and the button for the 
keyboard lamp.
