Yeah, there's a pervy superhack

yum install 915resolution

examine /usr/share/doc/915resolution-0.5.2/README.fedora
and README in the same dir.

I stuck it in /etc/rc.local like this:

915resolution 5c 1680 1050

But it seems you should run it as a service.  Anyway, works great except 
you have to run it again after hibernate.
