The reason for my question; I just started working for a
company that sells, installs, teaches and supports touch
screen systems with point of sale (POS) software to retail
customers (mostly restaurants and bars). I thought maybe I
could get some information about how the process to make it
work went. My employer is currently using Windows 2000 and
XP on the boxes we sell. The ELO drivers install and work
fine with Windows, no problems at all. The ELO site has
drivers for Linux. I have the green light to test the
hardware and all the software with Linux. I am going to use
Centos 5. I know the POS software we use will work on Linux
and I am sure the ELO drivers will work. I have to find two
more apps that work with the POS and the OS before I can
start testing.
