What DVD drive works with Fedora?

I have tried to install Fedora (Fedora 6, Fedora 5, Fedora 2) on my pc using
a Sony DVD RW DV-Q120A. 

No matter which version of Fedora I use, the installation doesn't run. In
the case of Fedora 6, Anaconda

Never starts and I get a blue screen and no response except to
<alt><cntrl><delete>.

Has anyone had problems with the Sony DVD writer? Can anyone make
recommendations about

DVD drives that are known to work?
