[FC6] Yum install source <package-name> ?

If I understand your question, then you can get more or less what you
want using yumdownloader from the yum-utils package:

    $ yumdownloader --source kernel

That will download the .src.rpm for the kernel which you can then
rebuild using rpm or just unpack it to poke around or whatever you
like.
