F8 Xnest crashing (Also X -query fails)

Hi
Using the following

2.6.23.1-49.fc8 #1 SMP Thu Nov 8 22:14:09 EST 2007 x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xnest-1.3.0.0-33.fc8.x86_64
kdebase-3.5.8-5.fc8.x86_64
qt-3.3.8-9.fc8.x86_64

I have edited /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess
and uncommented the "*"
*	#Any host can get a login window

and /etc/X11/xdm/kdmrc
Under Xdmcp
Enable=true

I get a fatal crash when using Xnest to connect to localhost
Xnest :2 -query localhost
The same occurs when connecting from another machine
Xnest :2 -query fuerte

A window shows
"The application unknown (kdmgreet) crashed and caused signal 6 SIGABRT"

The crash file is shown below

Has anyone seen this?

Should I report it to Fedora bugzilla or elsewhere?

In addition using X -query also fails but in a different way
Probably a permissions/access problem 
X :2 -query localhost
gives the kdm login screen and name and passwd can be entered but
the kde login screen is then repeated .....

Which secret file do I need to edit ?
