How to get mail to local destinations delivered?

Out of interest I just copied the program to my work system (also
Fedora 7, but a different network environment of course) and there the
program produces:-

    hostname = 'chrisg.atroad.com'
    canonical = 'chrisg.atroad.com'
    alias: 'chrisg'


.... and on this work system mail to chris at chrisg.atroad.com *does*
get delivered to me, I'll investigate!
