F7 to F8: no joy =/ [SOLVED]

Well, just to post back here my progress: the fix described on RH
Bugzilla indeed worked for me:

What I did was:

- press ESC on the boot screen of the install DVD
- type "linux updates=http://katzj.fedoraproject.org/updates-f8-yumloop.img
ip=dhcp"

At some point during the first text screens (even before the GUI
starts up) anaconda says it's obtaining IP address and then proceeds
to download the .img file. This is the indication that things are
looking good.

With the tweaked .img, anaconda barely stood at the "depsolve stage",
and proceeded to the next phase. A couple of minutes later it was
installing the packages, to my surprise =)

Last warning: it stood a long time on the last step before the reboot,
but eventually it ended (at least the HD led showed it was working, so
I did not panic -- at least not much ;-))

So, this is being written from a fresh new F8 upgrade =) All is good
so far, and my faith on Fedora has been restored =)
