Fedora 8 install gets stuck

The above params got the installation working for me on a Toshiba
Portege. Just in case anyone else is looking for this information.

1. Press Tab at the install selection screen
2. Add the params

nohz=off nolapic

,to the command line after the vmlinuz stuff, and now the installation
works as usual
