Problem with screen resolution in F8

I've got sort of the same problem with the Xorg version as shipped with
Fedora 8. Seems to be related to a lot of changes to the Xorg radeon r300
driver.

Can you post the output of "xrandr" to check there's no second monitor
detected?

Still, it's also a Gnome desktop problem since the menu bars on the first
monitor seem to get the locations for a random resolution on a non-existent
monitor :|
