Figured I'd try and download FC8 x86_64 and so far so good :)

of course the files are hidden so you need to know the name.

cd mirror/fedora/linux/releases/8/Fedora/x86_64

then just get Fedora-8-x86_64-DVD.iso

an over IPv6 no less :)
