Re-installing the driver overwrote the Mesa supplied /usr/lib/libGL. In
that directory do 'ls -la  libgl*' you'll spot the linked files which
should point to your master libGL file with your version number. You
might also spot the now-abandoned libGL mesa master file, it'll be
linked by nothing. Mine is libGL.so.100.14.11 which is the version of
NVidia that I am using now. Same with your libGLcore. I believe this is
the horse that threw ya. Ric
