A quick glance at the bits of the ifup-eth script that deal with
DHCP_HOSTNAME between FC6 & current rawhide doesn't show any real
changes in this area (but it was a quick glance!).

How are you getting the lease? If you're doing an "ifup eth0" or
starting it via the /etc/init.d/network script I would expect it to
respect those settings.

If you're using NetworkManager to get the lease, iirc, it ignores the
ifcfg-eth* files.
