Hm. /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup has:
# Old BOOTP variable
if [ "${BOOTP}" = "yes" ]; then
BOOTPROTO=bootp
fi
if [ "${BOOTPROTO}" = "bootp" -o "${BOOTPROTO}" = "dhcp" ]; then
DYNCONFIG=true
fi
That's about the closest I can find.
