resizing LVM partitions

Hmm, thanks for your reply, but I would like to express respectful
skepticism. The >>> quoted part above is from the lvresize man page.

Or were you recommending that I use something other than lvresize?
Perhaps system-config-lvm, as recommended by Yonas, will do the FS
shrink step for me?
