Better still, add /sys to the PRUNEPATHS parameter in /etc/updatedb.conf
Run updatedb with the -v flag and you'll probably notice that it gets
stuck at /sys/module/nousb/parameters. That's probably because of a file
in there that has a zero sized filename.

[root at marvin parameters]# updatedb -v
.
.
*big snip*
.
.
/sys/module/nfnetlink/sections/.text
/sys/module/nousb/parameters
updatedb: src/updatedb.c:721: scan_cwd: Assertion `name_size > 1' failed.
Aborted
[root at marvin ~]# cd /sys/module/nousb/parameters/
[root at marvin parameters]# ll
ls: cannot access : No such file or directory
total 0
-????????? ? ? ? ? ?
[root at marvin parameters]#
