Accidentally removed important packages

you don't want chroot to the old filesystem because you dont have rpm 
installed

first read the rpm manual

and install rpm and yum with something like this

rpm -Uvh --force --nodeps --root=/mnt/xyz http://mirror.fedora/yum.rpm 
http://mirror.fedora/rpm.rpm  http://mirror.fedora/grub.rpm etc...
