Best way to backup a specific drive?

I think ClamAV is the name of one of the more respected ones, that is
cross-platform.  Change the subject line to anti-virus software for
Linux and Windows, and you'll probably raise the attention of someone
doing it.

I haven't really looked hard at Linux anti-virus solutions, because I
think it's a waste of effort.  I'd really have to go out of my way to
infect myself on Linux.  Windows, on the other hand, isn't so safe, it's
all too easily to catch something, even without doing something silly.
But I don't use it anymore, so I haven't kept up to date with the
offerings for it.  But, when I did look around in the past, I noticed
that AVG rated poorer than others at catching what's out there in the
wild, and I don't think you could call anything 100% effective.
