The predicate of US law is that one is innocent until proven guilty. I
believe that they have denied him bail because they consider him a
flight risk. As for whatever happened to the Bill of Rights...that's a
political discussion that is inappropriate for this list - not that I
don't disagree with your questioning it...just that there are better
forums for that discussion.

As for ReiserFS (and other file systems such as JFS, XFS, ZFS)...I
believe that ReiserFS has been hovering in the kernel for some time but
it's future is clearly in doubt because of Hans Reiser's legal issues. I
am of the belief that JFS is supported by Fedora/Red Hat by default
these days.

Ext3 is the default but there are many knowledgeable people who believe
that some of the other file systems are better suited in many
circumstances. I think that Sun's ZFS has caused a lot of people to take
notice that much is still lacking in ext2/ext3.
