NFSv4 and umount

I'm running fc7, updated as of today.
I have an NFSv4 client and server. Server is heavily firewalled.
I can mount stuff and use it.
However, when I umount /stuff, umount sits and looks at me for a while,
and then stops. /stuff is not unmounted.
tcpdump tells me that umount is shouting at port 111 (sunrpc) on the
server. My firewall does not allow that to reach the server !
I thought NFSv4 operated entirely through the one TCP connection ?
Help !
Chris
