Try downloading the Fedora 8 Test 3 Rescue Image
(http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/fedora/linux/releases/test/7.92/Fedora/i386/iso/Fedora-7.92-i386-rescuecd.iso).  

The methodology I've described is distribution-agnostic, so it doesn't
matter what distribution you use to perform it.
