A friend of mine was using a classical serial modem on FC7 that I
configured, but it broke.
He has bought the one in the subject.....
I found that apparently there are drivers from linuxant that are free only
for speeds around 14kbit/s... while the full version will cost around 20
US$...
No other chances? In case I will say him to change suddenly the modem with
another one during the 7-days free giveback.
In that case what would be an affordable solution for linux / fc7 nowadays?
It is years that I'm using ADSL and don't know modem situation support.
I found several sites regarding acrunner for usb ADSL modems and copying the
firmware in /lib/firmware... do these apply also to usb modems?
Thanks in advance
Gianluca
