Yum Update Question

Have a quick question about having yum check and install updates automatically.

I upgraded from FC5 to F7. Yum at that time was doing nightly checks and updates. I would simply come back and check the logs the next day. I assumed F7 would do the same. Apparently it does not. Can someone tell me if this can be changed?
