yum not working today?

I don't know what "proof" you want,
but there have been at least four 2.6.22 kernels 
in the standard repositories:
2.6.22.1-27, 2.6.22.1-41, 2.6.22.4-65, 2.6.22.5-76.

I'd also suggest the OP look at his/her /etc/yum.conf
to make sure kernel updates are not excluded.
