Kernel RPM

When you install the kernel rpm, it runs mkinitrd.  You might as well
run mkinitrd yourself (you can often get away with no switches) by hand
with the old kernel bits and bobs.

Now... I know what you're thinking.  Is this a "fact" or just his
"opinion"?  Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind
of lost track myself. (etc)
