Alsamixer switches to different settings after reboot. How to fix?

Take a look at man alsactl.

Get the settings the way you want them.  Then:

/usr/sbin/alsactl store

Put the command  "/usr/sbin/alsactl restore" in a

boot file such as /etc/rc.d/rc.local
