For thin clients you might like the k12ltsp EL5 version based on Centos5 
even if you don't need the added education stuff 
(http://k12ltsp.org/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page).  For fatter clients 
and some other options, look at drbl (http://drbl.sourceforge.net/).
