watch 'cat \
  /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq; \
  cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZC/temperature'

or for multiple cpu system
watch 'cat \
  /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq; \
  cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZC/temperature'

cheap, easy, available.
