I know this is the Redhat list but, if you need
longer term support, then take a look at Ubuntu
server edition. Every two years they desiganate a
release "LTS" (Long Term Support) and support it for
five years. They just released the latest "8.04 LTS"
version this spring. Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS, the first
maintenance update was released in July. So now is
probably a pretty good time to give it a try:
