It may have to be a multi-faceted approach,
get the info out to wide a base as possible.

4: More pertinent info
(a) Are users machines already suspect?
(b) as end-user possible tasks\fixes to be done f8\9?
(c) yum update gives: STOP There's a problem please check list\site 
    (if actually possible)
