pulseaudio, howto make it work?

An excellent question that I don't recall the exact answers to since there 
were several places where one has to click ok, or no I didn't hear it, in 
order to proceed.

My point is that it should buffer all that, and only write it out if you give 
it the final OK, but it never asked.  Poorly coded IMO.
