problem with grub? mounting local file system (failed)

Hi,
Can you please try this?

rescue disk
chroot /mnt/sysimage
. . . .

grub-install --recheck --no-floppy --root-directory=/mountpoint/from/root /dev/sda

NOTE:
/mountpoint/from/root ==> location where / (root) would be  mountetd
