I use (an expensive) HP Color LaserJet 4700dn at work. Works well under
RHEL 4. I use an HP Color LaserJet 4500n (free) at home. Nearly every HP
printer should work under Linux since HP does provide drivers for them.
Always double check the Open Printing data base:
http://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting before buying a printer.
From what I have seen on this and other lists, most Brother printers
work well under Linux and are generally cheaper. I would avoid Lexmark,
Dell, and Canon printers. Most Epson printers work well under Linux
also. But, always check the data base before you buy just to make sure.
